This vacation rental is located on the beach in La Jolla, just 15 minutes north of San Diego. This property is perfect for the laid back beach vacationers who want to grab a beach towel and boogie board and enjoy the beach. You are a quick coastal walk from the children's cove where you can watch the seals and explore the village of La Jolla. There is something for everyone in the village. La Jolla Village is within walking distance, or a very short drive, where you will find exceptional restaurants, shopping, museums and plenty of outdoor adventures.
This property provides plenty of space to spread out with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeps six people comfortably. It is located on the middle floor, you are able to view up and down the coast from your balcony, yet only one flight of stairs to get there. Parking for one car is provided in the driveway, and full access to the garage is given where you will find the laundry facilities, beach items or beach cruisers for you to use during your stay. Garage access is shared with the guests staying above you.
The living room area is a nice large open space that has views of the sparkling ocean. This is a great place to sit on the sofas and watch some cable TV or stream your favorite Netflix series after a day in the sun. Additionally, you will find books, board games, binoculars and Internet access to keep everyone busy during their stay.
The kitchen has been recently upgraded with new counter tops and is open to the living room allowing someone to prep meals without missing out on any of the excitement. They can also enjoy the ocean view while cooking. The kitchen is fully equip with all the utensils and kitchen amenities you may need to cook up meals during your stay.
The master bedroom is located in the back of the property and has a king-size bed where you can cozy up and watch TV at the end of the day. This room also has a comfortable couch and access to the back patio. The master bedroom also has its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
A rest of the party can enjoy the second bedroom which is set up with two queen-size beds. It is located just down the hall from the kitchen and next to the second bathroom. The guest bathroom has tub to relax in after a long day in the sun.
Outside the living room, you can step out onto the balcony and watch the locals surf, catch the sunset and listen to the waves crashing on the rocks below. In the back of the house is a private patio area with seating and a BBQ if you choose to use it.

We stayed here for a long weekend. The location is awesome! Across from a popular beautiful beach and walking distance to a few restaurants, small market and liquor stores. The house is older but big. It had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again.

As described there was a beautiful view of the ocean and surfers. Ample room for our group. The property needs some TLC. Blinds: missing, broken and /or dirty, Bedrooms: extremely stuffy, Balcony furniture: uncomfortable, Bathroom Cabinets damaged and peeling. With temps continuing to go upward, AC and Ceiling fans would be good additions.

My family rented both units for 4 nights last weekend. The views were absolutely great and the walk to the beach even with beach chairs, umbrella, etc. was super easy. Beach was great during the mornings especially, got a little crowded in the afternoons but it was a fun beach to people watch - surrounded by families and surfers. Will definitely rent these condos again - easy walking and/or Uber to restaurants and groceries. Had Vons grocery deliver groceries to the condo and that worked out just great. Felt very safe in this neighborhood.

The location of this house was perfect. Only 20 minutes away from Seaworld, the zoo and old town which made commuting easy. The place was a little too hot. It could use more ventilation devices. It was really stuffy inside the bedrooms at night. The mattress in the master bedroom was very hard and hurt our backs.
The house was very clean and stocked with everything for your vacation, from cleaning supplies, toiletries to kitchenware and dishes.
The selection of choice for the kids was awesome. My kids used the buggy boards everyday and the beach chairs were a nice bonus.

I booked this property for its location and view. The views of the ocean couldn’t be beat and we were able to walk out the door and be on wind and sea beach. The beach facility g balcony was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. It was also convenient to the other areas of La Jolla we wanted to explore. The property is dated as the posted photos indicate but the photos were accurate . The property was clean and the beds comfortable. I chose the location and view over the furnishings. We had no issues with check in. The parking was convenient and access to a washer and dryer was nice. I will echo what other reviews have said about the noise level in the upstairs unit.

After reading the property description and the reviews, the unit was exactly as expected. The ocean view from the main living area is spectacular. The surfers are out the entire day and you can watch them from the apartment. The area is very nice with a market, liquor store and a couple of restaurants just a few minute walk away. It's about 1.5 miles in either direction from larger commercial areas. We walked twice to Wayfarer Bakery, which is not to be missed, but chose to Uber to dinner in the main commercial district of La Jolla. If we were staying here our entire trip, we would have rented a car. The management team is responsive and easy to reach. The beds are comfortable and the showers had nice water pressure. The kitchen was fully stocked equipment-wise and we had no problem making breakfast. While the en suite bathroom had a renovated shower, the vanity could use an update, and a toilet paper holder would be nice. We did hear the upstairs neighbors, but we knew that from the reviews. Overall, very satisfied with our stay.

The host was very helpful and responsive to our messages prior to our stay and check in was very easy. We are a family of four with two children under 4. They were able to get us a pack and play and high chair which was a big help. There’s some umbrellas, chairs, and toys in the garage which were great to have for the beach! We also appreciated that beach towels were provided. Laundry access was a plus as well! Parking on the driveway was perfect.
The master bedroom is very spacious and comfortable. Our kids shared the other bedroom. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sunsets, surfers, and people gathering. The kitchen and living room area is nice. They have all the dishes and cookware necessary but it’s definitely the minimum when it comes to kitchen items such as spices/cooking oil etc. It’s all very basic but it did the job.
There were a few restaurants within walking distance and a nice little grocery store just up the street that we could walk to. Ot felt very safe. The main town of La Jolla is not too far and has so many shopping and dining options. The beach was nice but if you have kids, keep in mind you have to take stairs down. We managed just fine but it took a little extra effort.
I agree with the other reviews that you can hear everything if there are people staying upstairs. But we knew that in advance and the other guests were respectful.
There are so many great things to do in the surrounding areas and we didn’t have to go far. Overall, it was a positive experience!

The property was great, some features a bit outdated, but no big deal since most of our time was spent outside. Shopping and dining all within walking distance. Only downside is you could hear everything from upstairs guest. Simple walking sounded like a herd of elephants staying upstairs. All noise, conversation, appliance use, water noise from upstairs was all heard in our rental. If we stayed again we would make sure to rent upper level.

Great views of ocean with across the street access. It is a popular beach so it does get crowded until sunset. Lots of cars and people so if you have more than one car that could present an issue. Great for surfing. The place has basic amenities. For a few $ the owners could easily upgrade towels and pillows but that’s just a personal observation. There is another rental above so if it’s occupied, you can hear all activities above. As long as they have your same hours it’s fine. Otherwise it can get loud. Overall, a good stay in a good location.

The location was perfect. Right on the beach and super close to everything in LaJolla. If you love the ocean and hearing the waves crashing you will love this place. So convenient to just cross the street to the beach.
But, the home is very dated and a bit dirty. It really needs an upgrade and makeover. It had all of the basics; but definitely not luxurious. Lots of older and dated furniture and fixtures. Not a lot of hot water. Needs more pillowcases. Half of the pillows were not in cases. Overall, it was perfectly fine. But, with a little more attention, the property could be so much better.

This property is located directly across the street from the wind and sea beach area. So it is less than a minute walk to put your toes in the sand, so close in fact you hear the waves crashing from any place in the house!. The area is very electric with lots of surfers and beach goers (great for people watching) pretty much all the time. The rental is very spacious and very much a classic southern California beach pad with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Property was safe and secure, easy check in and property manager was quick to respond to our questions and needs. Lastly, driveway parking a huge bonus as on street parking is a challenge in the area! Would recommend to anybody looking for a place close to to the beach!

Has an amazing stay at this place! The location is perfect, right on the Windansea beach. Its not the quietest area, which worked perfectly for us. We lazed many hours on the balcony people watching and enjoying amazing sunsets. You can just walk down to the beach when u want and then walk back to take a shower!! We were also able to walk to the adjacent beach when this beach got too crowded for us. The house itself is nice, beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the utensils we needed, and the garage was well stocked for the beach, umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards. Communicating with Megan was a pleasure, she was always prompt and very helpful. A perfect beach vacation!! Already missing those sunsets

We love La Jolla and Windansea! The property could highly benefit from some ceiling fans to move the air around, but you can’t beat the location! The beds, linens, towels were all very clean. The living room and kitchen were functional and comfortable. With three kids, we didn’t spend much time inside as we were at the beach the entire time. There’s a nice, private little patio out back off the master bedroom which was nice. Super convenient to have a parking spot and not have to drive anywhere. We walked across the street and posted up at the beach all day. The property has bikes, beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, etc. everything you need for a relaxing weekend at the beach!

This condo was great. The location was ideal with great sunset views and the sound of waves in every room along with cool breezes. Close to many great restaurants and, of course, Windansea. Megan was great; very responsive and flexible with us.
Upon check-in condo was very clean and neat. Furnishings were surfer chic. Had everything we needed. We will do our best to comeback with our family of five.

We had a front row seat to the surfing competition all weekend. The beach is amazing. The property is the prime location steps from the best beach in San Diego. The property owner was over the top accomadiating. Driveway parking spot is priceless. Will stay again everytime we visit San Diego. Fell in love with LaJolla!!!

We enjoyed our stay and it was amazing location!! The beach was across the street and the stairs down to the beach were super close to house location. The bathroom downstairs was very nice to rinse all the beach sand off. The house was very well stocked, great kitchen, and garage had beach chairs and toys. :-)

If location is what you are looking for, you will love this property. Great ocean views, with easy access to the beach.
As another guest said, “What you see is what you get”. The furnishings are worn and could use an update. In order to take out the trash we had to go through the sliding glass door in the main bedroom. The problem was that the sliding glass door was extremely difficult to open. The vertical blinds in the main bedroom were missing slats making privacy and issue.
Our family was disappointed in the fact that we were originally only given one trash bag for the kitchen, as well as one dish towel for the week. Once we contacted the owner she responded immediately and brought additional trash bags, towels, etc.
The bedrooms/bathrooms were updated, neat and clean. The kitchen was not up to our expectations. Crumbs inside the cabinets, on the floors and on top the refrigerator were a turn off for us.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we will not return to this property.

Overall this is a great condo right on the beach. You can hear the waves as you sleep even though the master is in the back of the condo. Lovely views. Had a small deck with a bench but could have used a more comfortable chair and small table to still and have a cup of coffee and look out to the ocean or read.
Neighbor is great. You can walk to many shops and cafes. People are friendly. Got to watch the surfers at all times of the day. The condo itself had all the essentials and was clean. Very roomy and fit our family of 4 comfortably. It definitely could use some updated living room furniture . We were not at the condo too much but those evenings we came back from running around and wanted to sit and watch a movie was not very comfortable on the furniture. Otherwise loved this place and hope to come back someday.

We were about 20 minutes from everything and enjoyed the local restaurants. Megan was great to deal with and the property has everything you need to have a wonderful stay. We had a fantastic time at our stay here. The house had everything we needed. It's a little dated (actually charming - slightly retro beach vibe), but everything was very clean and the important stuff had been updated - floors, master shower, linens. And having the boogie boards, beach toys and bikes was great.
And we chose based on location and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Watched all the surfers morning and afternoon. Had patio door open to listen to the waves all the time. Beach/shore just outside the place were great for strolling and rock jumping. Beach short walk north was great for kids to play on and boogie board. Quiet neighborhood, with very quick drive to La Jolla Village.
Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time during the Christmas week with plenty to do and great restaurants every night. Excellent Busy Bee’s bagels within 5 minutes walk my kids ate breakfast bagels every morning!! If you want to hear the surf and watch spectacular sunsets, this is the place for you! The kitchen is open to all the windows in the living room-so great for the cook to participate in the fun! Our family spent Thanksgiving 2018 here. Easily walkable for quick shopping or a stroll on the beach or past some of the most incredible real estate in CA. Well outfitted with cooking utensils, plates, pots/pans. Comfy beds. The grill works just fine. Especially nice to have a parking space included! The reason I ranked it 4 vs 5 stars is because it needs some updating. Master BR blinds to patio are hard to manage and the dishwasher is old and can tip out of its spot. Pretty sparse furnishings but clean and comfortable. Large DR table (for 6) was just what we needed. So all in all, good value as it stands, in a great location. Btw, the old photos on the wall are interesting to give an idea of what this area looked like long ago. Look for the funny one!

The rental property accommodated my family of six perfectly! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The property manager was very helpful in answering all of our questions. Our family of 4 spent a delightful weekend at this property located in a quiet, upscale residential area.The location and views can't be beat. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning, drinking coffee and watching the surfers. Late afternoons were spent watching the spectacular sunsets. The condo itself was comfortable and well appointed. We didn't want to have to leave and look forward to coming again.

My family rented both units for 4 nights last weekend. The views were absolutely great and the walk to the beach even with beach chairs, umbrella, etc. was super easy. Beach was great during the mornings especially, got a little crowded in the afternoons but it was a fun beach to people watch - surrounded by families and surfers. Will definitely rent these condos again - easy walking and/or Uber to restaurants and groceries. Had Vons grocery deliver groceries to the condo and that worked out just great. Felt very safe in this neighborhood.

The location of this house was perfect. Only 20 minutes away from Seaworld, the zoo and old town which made commuting easy. The place was a little too hot. It could use more ventilation devices. It was really stuffy inside the bedrooms at night. The mattress in the master bedroom was very hard and hurt our backs.
The house was very clean and stocked with everything for your vacation, from cleaning supplies, toiletries to kitchenware and dishes.
The selection of choice for the kids was awesome. My kids used the buggy boards everyday and the beach chairs were a nice bonus.

I booked this property for its location and view. The views of the ocean couldn’t be beat and we were able to walk out the door and be on wind and sea beach. The beach facility g balcony was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. It was also convenient to the other areas of La Jolla we wanted to explore. The property is dated as the posted photos indicate but the photos were accurate . The property was clean and the beds comfortable. I chose the location and view over the furnishings. We had no issues with check in. The parking was convenient and access to a washer and dryer was nice. I will echo what other reviews have said about the noise level in the upstairs unit.

After reading the property description and the reviews, the unit was exactly as expected. The ocean view from the main living area is spectacular. The surfers are out the entire day and you can watch them from the apartment. The area is very nice with a market, liquor store and a couple of restaurants just a few minute walk away. It's about 1.5 miles in either direction from larger commercial areas. We walked twice to Wayfarer Bakery, which is not to be missed, but chose to Uber to dinner in the main commercial district of La Jolla. If we were staying here our entire trip, we would have rented a car. The management team is responsive and easy to reach. The beds are comfortable and the showers had nice water pressure. The kitchen was fully stocked equipment-wise and we had no problem making breakfast. While the en suite bathroom had a renovated shower, the vanity could use an update, and a toilet paper holder would be nice. We did hear the upstairs neighbors, but we knew that from the reviews. Overall, very satisfied with our stay.

The host was very helpful and responsive to our messages prior to our stay and check in was very easy. We are a family of four with two children under 4. They were able to get us a pack and play and high chair which was a big help. There’s some umbrellas, chairs, and toys in the garage which were great to have for the beach! We also appreciated that beach towels were provided. Laundry access was a plus as well! Parking on the driveway was perfect.
The master bedroom is very spacious and comfortable. Our kids shared the other bedroom. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sunsets, surfers, and people gathering. The kitchen and living room area is nice. They have all the dishes and cookware necessary but it’s definitely the minimum when it comes to kitchen items such as spices/cooking oil etc. It’s all very basic but it did the job.
There were a few restaurants within walking distance and a nice little grocery store just up the street that we could walk to. Ot felt very safe. The main town of La Jolla is not too far and has so many shopping and dining options. The beach was nice but if you have kids, keep in mind you have to take stairs down. We managed just fine but it took a little extra effort.
I agree with the other reviews that you can hear everything if there are people staying upstairs. But we knew that in advance and the other guests were respectful.
There are so many great things to do in the surrounding areas and we didn’t have to go far. Overall, it was a positive experience!

The property was great, some features a bit outdated, but no big deal since most of our time was spent outside. Shopping and dining all within walking distance. Only downside is you could hear everything from upstairs guest. Simple walking sounded like a herd of elephants staying upstairs. All noise, conversation, appliance use, water noise from upstairs was all heard in our rental. If we stayed again we would make sure to rent upper level.

Great views of ocean with across the street access. It is a popular beach so it does get crowded until sunset. Lots of cars and people so if you have more than one car that could present an issue. Great for surfing. The place has basic amenities. For a few $ the owners could easily upgrade towels and pillows but that’s just a personal observation. There is another rental above so if it’s occupied, you can hear all activities above. As long as they have your same hours it’s fine. Otherwise it can get loud. Overall, a good stay in a good location.

But, the home is very dated and a bit dirty. It really needs an upgrade and makeover. It had all of the basics; but definitely not luxurious. Lots of older and dated furniture and fixtures. Not a lot of hot water. Needs more pillowcases. Half of the pillows were not in cases. Overall, it was perfectly fine. But, with a little more attention, the property could be so much better.

This property is located directly across the street from the wind and sea beach area. So it is less than a minute walk to put your toes in the sand, so close in fact you hear the waves crashing from any place in the house!. The area is very electric with lots of surfers and beach goers (great for people watching) pretty much all the time. The rental is very spacious and very much a classic southern California beach pad with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Property was safe and secure, easy check in and property manager was quick to respond to our questions and needs. Lastly, driveway parking a huge bonus as on street parking is a challenge in the area! Would recommend to anybody looking for a place close to to the beach!

Has an amazing stay at this place! The location is perfect, right on the Windansea beach. Its not the quietest area, which worked perfectly for us. We lazed many hours on the balcony people watching and enjoying amazing sunsets. You can just walk down to the beach when u want and then walk back to take a shower!! We were also able to walk to the adjacent beach when this beach got too crowded for us. The house itself is nice, beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the utensils we needed, and the garage was well stocked for the beach, umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards. Communicating with Megan was a pleasure, she was always prompt and very helpful. A perfect beach vacation!! Already missing those sunsets

We love La Jolla and Windansea! The property could highly benefit from some ceiling fans to move the air around, but you can’t beat the location! The beds, linens, towels were all very clean. The living room and kitchen were functional and comfortable. With three kids, we didn’t spend much time inside as we were at the beach the entire time. There’s a nice, private little patio out back off the master bedroom which was nice. Super convenient to have a parking spot and not have to drive anywhere. We walked across the street and posted up at the beach all day. The property has bikes, beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, etc. everything you need for a relaxing weekend at the beach!

We loved the location and enjoyed our stay. Some more rugs would be helpful because of the sand. There was a small issue with the bathroom door opening. Restaurants are close by. The neighborhood seemed busier on weekends. Great view of the ocean! Easy commute to San Diego, Sea World, etc.

Overall this is a great condo right on the beach. You can hear the waves as you sleep even though the master is in the back of the condo. Lovely views. Had a small deck with a bench but could have used a more comfortable chair and small table to still and have a cup of coffee and look out to the ocean or read.
Neighbor is great. You can walk to many shops and cafes. People are friendly. Got to watch the surfers at all times of the day. The condo itself had all the essentials and was clean. Very roomy and fit our family of 4 comfortably. It definitely could use some updated living room furniture . We were not at the condo too much but those evenings we came back from running around and wanted to sit and watch a movie was not very comfortable on the furniture. Otherwise loved this place and hope to come back someday.

We took the family of four (8 & 10 yr olds) on vacation. This property was perfect! Spent the mornings and evenings on the beach and the days at all the attractions. We were about 20 minutes from everything and enjoyed the local restaurants. Megan was great to deal with and the property has everything you need to have a wonderful stay. I don’t think you can be the location!

We had a fantastic time at our stay here. The house had everything we needed. It's a little dated (actually charming - slightly retro beach vibe), but everything was very clean and the important stuff had been updated - floors, master shower, linens. And having the boogie boards, beach toys and bikes was great.
And we chose based on location and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Watched all the surfers morning and afternoon. Had patio door open to listen to the waves all the time. Beach/shore just outside the place were great for strolling and rock jumping. Beach short walk north was great for kids to play on and boogie board. Quiet neighborhood, with very quick drive to La Jolla Village.
Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this property, it was perfect for our family of four! Amazing views, close to so many things, and hearing the ocean 24/7 was wonderful. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and had fun watching the surfers from the front balcony. It was more spacious than we expected and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in La Jolla..comfortabe accommodations and plenty of space for my 3 teenagers and their parents. Beautiful ocean views and great surfing location. We had a great time during the Christmas week with plenty to do and great restaurants every night. Excellent Busy Bee’s bagels within 5 minutes walk my kids ate breakfast bagels every morning!! We will be back!!

If you want to hear the surf and watch spectacular sunsets, this is the place for you! The kitchen is open to all the windows in the living room-so great for the cook to participate in the fun! Our family spent Thanksgiving 2018 here. Easily walkable for quick shopping or a stroll on the beach or past some of the most incredible real estate in CA. Well outfitted with cooking utensils, plates, pots/pans. Comfy beds. The grill works just fine. Especially nice to have a parking space included! The reason I ranked it 4 vs 5 stars is because it needs some updating. Master BR blinds to patio are hard to manage and the dishwasher is old and can tip out of its spot. Pretty sparse furnishings but clean and comfortable. Large DR table (for 6) was just what we needed. So all in all, good value as it stands, in a great location. Btw, the old photos on the wall are interesting to give an idea of what this area looked like long ago. Look for the funny one!

Easy driving to Del Mar racetrack and Petco stadium. Loved having coffee on the balcony watching the morning surfers. Designated parking spot in front was a nice plus.

The rental property accommodated my family of six perfectly! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The property manager was very helpful in answering all of our questions. The rental is very close to a lot of different shops, eateries, and plenty of things to do with the kids. Would stay here again for sure.

Wonderful views of Windansea, Surfers and Sunsets

Our family of 4 spent a delightful weekend at this property located in a quiet, upscale residential area.The location and views can't be beat. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning, drinking coffee and watching the surfers. Late afternoons were spent watching the spectacular sunsets. The condo itself was comfortable and well appointed. We didn't want to have to leave and look forward to coming again.
