If I have questions during my stay, who can I call?
Our offices are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, 7 days a week, and we have an on-call phone for after hours emergencies. Guests may reach us at 858.480.5438. If you do not get an answer, you may also text us at 530.518.3563. The Guest Information Binder in your vacation rental will have the answers to most of questions you may have about the home. We ask that guests limit any after-hours calls to emergencies only.
Is booking online secure?
YES. windanseavacationrentals.com is a secure network. All of your personal and payment information are safe and confidential. WE DO NOT LIST OUR PROPERTIES ON CRAIGSLIST.
How do I make a reservation?
For your convenience, you can create a reservation using our online booking system or over the phone with one of our reservations agents at 858.480.5438.
Once we confirm the details of your reservation, we will email a short term rental agreement to you. We do require 50% of the total payment due at the time of booking in order to reserve your requested property. Please note that no reservation is confirmed until we receive BOTH the signed rental agreement and the 50% of your total payment. The remaining 50% balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival date.
Please be aware, if you are reserving a stay within 48 hours of your arrival date, we will require additional documentation to confirm your booking.

What is the payment policy?
If booking is done more than 30 days before the arrival date, 50% is due at booking along with the signed rental agreement and approved guest information. The remaining 50% will be due 30 prior to your arrival.
If you are booking within 30 days of the arrival date, 100% of the total is due at the time of booking, along with the signed rental agreement and approved guest information. Additional documentation may be required.
Do we accept pets?
Each property is different so it depends on the property. If you are not sure, just ask. We do require that we approve of the pet. There is a $100 nonrefundable pet deposit required at the time of booking. Any additional cleaning or repair required due to the occupancy of your pet will be charged on the credit card on file for the reservation. This includes picking up after your pet!! If it is discovered that there are/were additional pets at the property that are/were not approved by management, an additional nonrefundable pet deposit will be charged on the credit card on file. If management receives any complaints from neighbors or guests for excessive barking during your stay you will be given one warning. After that, you will be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund given for the remaining length of the reservation. Please be advised there is a leash law. If law enforcement stops you for no leash it is a $450 fine per dog! Please don't ruin it for everybody else!
Are there any additional fees other than the rental fee?
Yes, the transient occupancy tax (TOT) and the cleaning fee. The city of San Diego requires us to collect a TOT of 10.5% for rentals that are less than a month. The city uses the revenue to advertise San Diego as a tourist destination, to run the tourist offices, to keep the beaches clean, and for city beautification projects. We also have a cleaning/laundry fee which varies depending on unit, length of stay, and season. The cleaning/laundry fee, baby furniture rentals, etc. must be included before tax is applied according to the City Treasurer's TOT Office. Each one of our properties has a TOT Certificate issued by the city.
How old do I need to be to reserve a home?
Everyone who is traveling must be at least 25 years old or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
