Description
This newly remodeled surf-inspired beach bungalow is great for social distancing on its own gated private property with enclosed yard and attached parking. Also easy walking to multiple Grocery Stores, Pharmacy & Take Out.
Every aspect of our charming, completely renovated bungalow is thoughtfully designed to reflect our love of the San Diego beaches right down to the ocean sunset colors. With a fun retro vibe and surf decor, this completely upgraded beach bungalow is the perfect retreat! For singles, couples, or for families including small kids and pets!
We are just a short walk to the beaches and all that La Jolla Village and Windansea have to offer. Wake up and stroll to one of several nearby beaches, walk to fresh bagels and coffee from the bagel bakery, take a leisurely walk to La Jolla Village for cool coffee shops, restaurants and shopping, or visit the tidepools.
The new Valley Farm Market also just opened! A great little grocery/deli that is just a 5 minute walk. And remember you are also just a quick hop, skip, and a jump away from everything else San Diego has to offer.
The open concept kitchen and extended living room have lots of natural light and make this beach bungalow feel significantly more spacious than similar 1-bedroom bungalows in the area. The kitchen is complete with a full sized stove/oven and microwave plus a table for 4.
The countertop has additional seating for 2 with adjustable height stools which are also great for an impromptu standing height desk if “working from home” is needed!
The living room has a 50” Smart TV and a convertible sofa. The orange one is a European style that converts to a queen sized bed (much sturdier feeling when in “bed mode” than the traditional sofa beds we all grew up with) and is located in an area of the living room that makes it easy to leave the sofa in “bed mode” for the entire stay, if desired, while still maintaining a functioning living room in the remaining space, where another Love Seat style couch adds to your overall seating.
The bedroom even features a KING sized bed! There is a full sized dresser in the bedroom and additional hanging closet space in the living room for extended stays.
The house is located on it’s own private lot on a quiet residential street. It is tucked back behind another house (that’s why we call it The Hidden Gem!) and comes complete with private parking for 3-4 cars and a spacious private yard that is fully enclosed (great for kids and pets) -- which is hard to come by this close to the beach!
These old beach cottages all have their quirks -- The Hidden Gem’s quirk is that you need to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. The good news is that the bedroom is also easily accessed through an exterior sliding glass door which is just steps away from the back kitchen door - so it is easy for everyone to get where they need to go even when the house is full!
We recently added an outdoor patio area with a brand new gas grill and seating so you can relax outside in the mornings with coffee or in the evenings when you fire up the grill.
